Registration Information

Here at Redmond Regional Medical Center, we want your registration process to go as smoothly as possible. We have created a guide to help simplify the process.

You may be required to sign the following:

  • Consent for treatment
  • Authorization to bill insurance

If you are a Medicare recipient, you will be required to sign:

  • Medicare Secondary questionnaire
  • Medicare Rights Statement

If you are a Champus recipient, you will be required to sign:

  • Champus Rights Statement

Remember to bring with you at the time of registration the following items:

  • Social Security Card
  • All active insurance cards
  • Picture ID
  • Living Will, Advance Directives, Durable Power of Attorney, or Critical Conditions (if you have them)

Outpatient Registration Information

Community Wide Scheduling

In keeping with our tradition of always looking for ways to improve customer satisfaction, we have implemented a scheduling program called Community Wide Scheduling (or Centralized Scheduling). When scheduling patient care, this department provides physicians and their office staff(s) with faster, more efficient and reliable service. Our patients recognize a significantly shorter waiting period and have much less paperwork to handle at the time of their procedure.

With one simple phone, call, you are able to schedule almost all outpatient procedures, diabetic teaching, education, and surgical procedures.

We are excited to have been the FIRST medical facility in Northwest Georgia to offer a service of this type.

We Schedule the following Departments:

  • Ambulatory Surgery
  • Pain Center
  • Cardiology
  • Patient Education
  • Cath Lab
  • Physical Therapy
  • Congestive Heart Failure Unit
  • Radiology
  • GI Lab
  • Respiratory Therapy
  • Neurosciences
  • Surgery
  • In keeping with our tradition of looking for new and exciting ways to improve customer satisfaction, we are beginning a new scheduling program. Called Community Wide Scheduling, this new department will provide physicians and their office staffs with faster, more efficient and reliable service when scheduling patient care. Our patients will recognize a significantly shorter waiting period and will have much less paperwork to handle at the time of their procedure. With one short phone call, you will be able to schedule for most all of our outpatient or surgical procedures, as well as any other tests or education that go along with that procedure. We are excited to be the FIRST Medical Facility in the Northwest Georgia area to offer a service of this type.

    How will this affect you?

    • Our schedulers will need you to provide the following information:
      1. Social Security Number
      2. Name
      3. Date of Birth
      4. Phone
      5. Ordering Physician
      6. Insurance Company
      7. Policy Number
      8. Pre-Certification Number
      9. Date Service Requested
      10. Date of Pre-Op Visit (If Required)
      11. ICD-9 Code
      12. Home & Business Address'

    • After the case is scheduled, you will be requested to fax physician orders, diagnosis and insurance information to us. This will allow patient registration to be completed prior to the date of service.
    • Other questions may be asked depending on what type of procedure you are scheduling.
    • You will no longer have to call each department that is involved with the proposed procedure(s).

    ABOUT US

    Staffing--Our staff will include several schedulers, one Unit Coordinator and one Manager. All members of the team will be able to handle your scheduling needs.

    Experience--Our staff has an average of 10 years of nursing experience at Redmond. We have selected nurses that have proven themselves in various departments throughout the hospital.

    Service--We will not only handle your scheduling needs, we will be the first point of contact for questions regarding RRMC. Should you or a patient have a question about a procedure, test, prep or general information you or the patient may call us.

    Process--We worked closely with each department in programming the software. They have provided us with their capabilities, times, and other pertinent appointment details. The system we are using will allow us to find the first available time your appointment can be scheduled, or if a time you request is available.

    Suggestions--You are our customer. If you see a way to improve anything or have a suggestion, please let us know. We will strive to do what we can to make your experience pleasant.
